San Diego State Men's Basketball Ranked 22nd in AP Poll and 20th in Coaches Poll

Following a challenging win over Fresno State last week, the San Diego State men's basketball team has secured first place in the Mountain West Conference and gained national recognition in this week's Associated Press Top 25 Poll, ranking at No. 22. The team also landed at No. 20 in the USA Today Coaches Poll. San Diego State received 336 points in the AP poll and 180 in the Coaches poll, standing as the only program in the conference to be ranked in either poll.

The team's appearance in this week's AP poll marked their 98th week of being ranked since the beginning of the 2010-11 season, making them the most-ranked program in California and the 18th most-ranked program in the country during that time.

San Diego State has been ranked at No. 22 seven times throughout its history and has held every position between No. 4 and No. 25 in the AP poll, except for No. 12.

The latest rankings, released on February 20, are the sixth time that San Diego State has appeared in the AP Top 25 on that date, following rankings of No. 6 in 2011 and 2014, No. 24 in 2012, No. 4 in 2020, and No. 25 in 2021.

The San Diego State men's basketball team will put their No. 22 ranking to the test in their upcoming game against the Colorado State Bulldogs, which is set to take place on Tuesday, February 21, at Steve Fisher Court in Viejas Arena in San Diego. The game will be broadcast on CBS Sports Network at 8 p.m. PT.
